Iris Trail via Appalachian Trail

The park is in the Appalachian Trail lot. The blue blaze trail leads to a red/white blaze trail junction. Follow AT along the east ridge and then west ridge. The swamp and Lake Rutherford are visible from the left. The Dutch Shoe Rock is a great place to take a break. Continue on AT, then turn left at signs for the shelter. The trail goes past AT shelter and follows a trail through the woods to a red/white marked trail. You can follow the trail past the lake and back to the junction by turning right. It was a pleasant hike.
