About This Trail
The Ice Age Trail goes through the second largest cluster of kames. This is a very popular trail. The environment between the kames is beautiful. The addition of a separate loop trail provides day hikers with an alternate route back to their car. The Ice Age Trail is a path that shows the remnants of glaciers that were left behind during the last ice age. The Ice Age trail follows the terminal moraine of the last glacier in Wisconsin, which is one of the best examples of glaciers in the world.
