Hungerford Lake Recreation Area Cross Country Ski Trails

There is a fee for the day. A 13 mile trail system. You may enjoy hiking, horseback riding, fishing and mountain biking in the summer and fall. Cross-country skiing is done during the winter. It's accessible by a gravel road during dry months. The Hungerford Recreation Area is a multi-use area with National Forest System lands. The area has hiking, snowshoe, cross-country ski, horseback ride, mountain bike and enjoy the National Forests. The horseback riding and mountian biking trails are not the same trail. "You Are Here" maps are located at trail junctions to aid in navigation, but the two trails cross each other at several locations. The trail has blue diamonds for the mountain bike trail and blue diamonds for the horse trail.
