About This Trail
There is a better trail following the North Country Trail at Hoxie Gorge than there is at the beginning of the hike. This trail is expanded for different reasons. The noise of the road becomes intrusive if it is close to the highway. It is a pleasant walk with no views, but also no noise. A short bushwhack is needed to get to the road from the pond. It's a walk back to the NCT crossing after that. Alternatively, go around at the pond and listen to more noise than the highway.
