About This Trail
The main trail through the forest is the North Country Trail/Finger Lakes Trail, which has several side trails that offer different lengths of hike. This is the most visited state forest. James D. Kennedy Memorial State Forest was named after him. The forest contains the new Swedish loop trail and several other trails. The spur trails are part of the Finger Lakes Trail System. There are four miles of cross-country ski trails.
