About This Trail
There is a box with trail guides at the trail. There are numbered signs along the way that explain what you're looking at. The trail starts off parallel to a small stream on the right. The guide book says there are Apache Trout in the stream. You're walking through stands of aspen and ponderosa pine on the hike. You should keep an eye out for wildlife early on in your walk through the meadow. The trail widens after a few hundred yards and you find yourself on a logging road that dates from the 1800's. You will notice the trail begins to loop around. The trail is easy to navigate and there are many signs along the way. You will see exposed granite at different places along the trail. The guide is great in explaining what you're seeing.
