About This Trail
The path descends a wooded ravine with old-growth hemlock trees that are 3-4 feet in diameter and over 300 years old. There are many large white oak and tulip poplar trees here and several large sandstone boulders from Boulder Alley. The Civilian Corps built a charming native stone shelter house in the 1930's. There is an optional side-spur path that leads to Inspiration Point. The trail is just over one mile when including Inspiration Point. The Trail is marked with a red flag.
