Hectic Trail to Sullivan Canyon Loop

The 11 mile loop will take you up Upper Hectic, Sullivan Ridge, Sullivan Canyon and Lower Hectic. You get three distinct environments from this hike. The Upper Hectic is a beautiful hike that has beautiful views of both the San Fernando Valley and the West side. Sullivan Ridge is located in the middle of mountains and has a view of the ocean. The Sullivan Canyon feels like a forested forest with a steady but manageable incline. Lower Hectic has a better descent than Upper Hectic. There are a few things to remember, one of them is to watch out for the turn back into Sullivan Canyon. The trail is clearly visible, but it still is difficult to miss. The last three-quarters of a mile from Sullivan Canyon to Mulholland Drive is very tiring.
