Hawk Ridge Trail

A good mix of woods and meadow can be found on the 4 mile Hawk Ridge trail. Some of the highlights are old trees. Most of the champion trees have plaques that describe their age and species. You are almost certain to pass a few deer if you hike in the afternoon and evening. There are parts of the trail that are open to equestrian travel. There is a lot of room for bikes. The trail is marked well and paved. The trail appears to have been moved from what is shown on the maps, and new signs have been placed along the southern section.
