About This Trail

Imported description

The highway connecting the two national parks is named after the two largest and most famous trees. The road was opened in 1935. It is steep, narrow and winding on the southern end. There are many switchbacks with a speed limit of 10 MPH. There are many wonderful views of the High Sierra.
