About This Trail

The hike up to Freel Peak is a hard, primitive and rocky trail. The hike in the Sierra Nevada offers great views of Lake Tahoe, High Meadow, and the Desolation Wilderness. The first thing you need to do is to start at Fountain Place and take a right on the Tahoe Rim Trail to get to the trail. Stat Lake can be reached at the end of Marshall Trail. The Lake Tahoe Basin Management Area includes the Freel Peak Trail.
