Flat Top, Raven Rock Vista, and Ledges via Hidden Passage Trail

A longer option for Flat Top Hike. From parking area, bushwhack across meadow on right side of orchard. Follow train in Pine Trees, will bring you to main logging road that goes all the way up the mountain. There is an option to right after .2 mi. Pink tie offs on trees lead the way down to White Brook, turning upstream for .2 will bring you to White Brook Falls. Once returning to the steep logging road, the first trail grade that goes to the left is the lower flat top trail. With switchbacks this is a much easier way up the mountain. After reaching the top there will be a 3 way intersection, turn left a half a mile down, to the left there is marker on a tree telling you to go left, follow and there is a trail between Laurel to take you to the large vista. Upon coming back at the 3 way intersection, continuing straight is a short loop back to the logging road. This longer hike requires looking to the left bushwhacking along pick tie offs after rising to the rocky ridge top turn right along it’s edge and follow until there is a narrow path to the left between hemlocks. This narrow path is the Hidden Passage Trail. It takes you over the top avoiding swamps. Upon reaching the other side, following along the edge gives views. You could turn left to another vista 1/3 of a mile or so. If not follow the edge, come inward and look for a beaten trail, follow this the rest of the way. It will take you to two mountain balds to explore. Before eventually reach the Forest- Jeep Road which usually is rather wet. Turn right and follow all the way down back to parking
