About This Trail
The hike is on the newer portion of the Bay Area Ridge Trail. The hike starts in the Five Canyons Open Space and ends in North Garin. The portion of the B.A.R.T. that goes from Chabot to Garin was paraphrased. The western ridge leads to a creek that empties into the canyon. The dirt road goes around the creek until you get to the ridge above Palomares Canyon. The current trail ends on a ridge at the southern edge of the Garin property. This hike has a lot of up and down to give you a good workout.
