About This Trail
It's defined by the box canyons and sandstone cliffs. Red oak, white oak, and sugar maple dominate the forest. There is a forest on the upper slopes. There are a number of different trees on the dry sandstone cliffs. Azalea, flowering dogwood, and ironwood are understory trees on the dry sites. The short trail offers a nice view of the bluffs and canyons. The trail from the parking area leads to a canyon. The sandstone forest has a one mile trail that goes across it. There are a few places that it crosses a scenic creek.
