About This Trail
East Boulder lake is nestled along the middle of a big basin and has a big open meadow and commanding VIEWS, while some of the other major lakes are more reserved and rocky. It's worth all of the effort to hike the short one at this other place. A free wilderness permit needs to be given for overnight visitors. Fireplaces and Camp stoves have free campfire permits to be obtained. It is stated that most of the access roads are not always OPEN in winter.
