About This Trail
The parking area on US 9W near Jones Point is where you should start. When the trails split, go right with the Ramapo-Dunderberg Trail, which will take you up Dunderberg and see the Hudson River. The intersection with the Cornell Mine Trail will lead you to the Bald Mountain Trail, which will take you past the Cornell Mine. The top of Bald Mountain has a wonderful viewpoint. The trail descends. The Timp-Torne Trail leads to the NY City skyline and you can turn onto it. It's a good idea to retrace your steps, then stay on the Timp-Torne Trail, as it will lead you back to your starting point.
