About This Trail
The trail is almost completely flat. Large portions of the area may not be accessible during flooding. There are cottonwood, willow, ash, elm, maple, pecan, sycamore, box elder, and some bottomland oak species on Donaldson Point. The trail is home to a number of species that are not seen in the Mississippi lowlands. The bald eagles, interior least terns, cotton mice and giant cane are all threatened by extinction. The area is good for birdwatching and there are many species present in it.
