A fun loop with several roads to explore. The trail is open to motorized traffic from June 15 to November 15. The gate is locked the rest of the year. The views from the top of the mountain are broad. There is parking along Highway 103. Before you drive this trail, consider a trip to Mt. Evans is 2.5 miles past the trailhead on the highway. It was There are many The best time to go is late June through October. It is located in the Arapaho National Forest. Call Clear Creek Ranger District if you're in a bad situation. There is one steep, rocky spot that is borderline difficult, but it is easy. This section may be closed in the future. If closed, continue east and then left, going out the way you came in.
