About This Trail

Imported description
The Golden Gate Trail is the shorter route that uses the looped trail as its main route. If you start from Paradise Inn, I would recommend counter-clockwise. The first thing you should do when you see the beautiful Myrtle Falls is to walk through the gorgeous meadow with the amazing Mount Rainier in the background. The trail will get much more difficult after the paved paths, going up to some rocky cliffs at the peak, and then going down via the Skyline Trail. They will have multiple look-out spots that give jaw-dropping views of Mount Rainier and the mountain ridges in the distance. They'll have plenty of animals, including a mountain goat. The last stretch of the loop will have paved routes and will end at the Paradise Inn.
