About This Trail
The San Gabriel Mountains hiking trail is steep and dry. A trail that heads straight to the flattish top. Affirmative: great views. The ascent is a calf- stretching, knee-aching 45 angle up a steep, slippery slope not for the timid or breathless. Descent in some places required me to put my center of gravity behind me and slip down using my hands and feet.
