About This Trail

Take a break at the Wickahoney Stage Stop. The home of the Dunning family was once the Wickahoney Stage Stop. It was a post office and refuge for travelers on the stage route between Mountain City, Nevada and Mountain Home, Idaho. The structure that remains down there was built in 1895. It is on the National Register of Historic Places. The demise of the stage station was signaled by the change in the road. Bill Eastlake is a Desert Traveler.
