About This Trail

The trail is great for hiking and takes a half day. Start off along an oak lined road and then take a left and head out through San Diego shrubbery. You will be rewarded with a spectacular view of San Diego's half dome when you reach the main saddle. You can head northwest along a dirt road and then onto a single track trail. You'll find pine trees, granite boulders and wonderful views of the Cuyamaca and Laguna mountains when you head up. It can be cold in the winter so make sure to layer. It might be good for hiking all year because of the shade on the trail. Take your time and enjoy the views.
