Corn Mill Shoals to Bridal Veil Falls

Scenic hike along wooded-river trail to Bridal Veil Falls. This is a relatively easy walk. Most of the trip up to the Bridal Falls is on a nicely wooded trail along the river. The trailhead is across the road from the parking lot. Start the trip by taking the Corn Mill Shoals Trail SE. Then take the clearly marked Bridal Veil Trail to the NE. After hiking along the Little River you will come to cleared out area of power lines. Cross the power line clearing and proceed down the side of the river to Bridal Veil Falls. Extreme caution should be used, since the rocks are often slippery on the way to view the falls. This is the waterfall filmed in "The Last of the Mohicans". You can cross the waterfall by going underneath it. The sound of rushing water overhead is incredible. Down river is a nice area to rock slide and to the left is the lower part of the falls. The lower falls are steep and dangerous. Exit the falls area a bit further downstream and proceed back to the parking area via the Corn Mills Shoal Trail
