About This Trail

It has a great view of the winter from the summit of Coosa Bald, at 4,271 feet. The summit can't be seen from the forest year after year. There is a wilderness statue of Jesus Christ near Calf Stomp Gap and some scenic streams and waterfalls nearby. The hike follows the Coosa Backcountry Trail and finishes at the Blood Mountain Wilderness area. The trail is difficult due to frequent ascents and descents in the rolling hills of North Georgia.
