About This Trail
The road to the trailhead is closed due to snow, but the trail is still accessible. The park page has information and updates. This trail leads to the Indian Peaks Wilderness. The trail is well maintained. The gradual up hill climb ends at the lake. Some areas are easy to navigate while others require climbing over hills and rocks. Take the right fork at 1.8 miles on the Caribou Pass Trail. Permits are required for overnight stays in the Indian Wilderness Peaks. There are additional permit requirements for large groups. It's against the law to mechanized/motorized travel. Do not build campfires or camp within 100 feet of a body of water. The group size is limited to 12 people. The dogs must be on a leash. Leave no trace principles are paraphrased.
