About This Trail

The high point of the main ridge line is called the Cervidae Peak. It provides a fast scramble in the summer and a nice snow climb in the winter. It's close to the Idaho city of Boise and it's a great mountain destination when the peaks are blocked by roads or approaches. The views from the summit are all over the place. Heinan, Sunset Peak and Pilot Peak are mentioned. You can create a long ridge run that includes this high point. There are animals on this ridge. The East Route goes past the Spring Shores Marina and goes northwest up a steep hillside to join the main ridge.
