This hike involves 2 different vehicles. You can start at the southwestern trailhead of the Breakneck Ridge Trail and walk for about a mile, with great views along the way. The trail goes through a period of gentle ups and downs. The Breakneck Ridge Trail leads to the Wilkinson Trail after a major descent. The Breakneck Ridge Trail begins a steep climb after about 100 yards, with some rock scrambling to get to the fire tower. The Casino Trail is the northeastern end of the Breakneck Ridge Trail. It is a good idea to follow the latter downhill until you reach the old casino site overlooking the city ofBeacon.
