About This Trail
The trail enters the wilderness. The wilderness regulations are posted at the trailhead. The parking is limited at this location. The Town of Vail has a free bus that can be used to access the trail. The amount of use has resulted in trail damage and widening. Please leave this place better than you found it, carry all trash and dog waste with you, and stay on the trail. The lake is tucked away in an Alpine area and has wonderful wildflowers. The trail goes past a waterfall. Water is not always available near the trail. The lake is near a treeline. During hunting season, hunters may use this area. The trail is not marked or maintained for winter.
