About This Trail
The trail winds through old growth timber through the original salt works, past the springs and remnants of the salt works. The first part of the trail is not easy to walk. A large kettle is still there. The short hike is pleasant but more interesting because of the historic element. There are historic markers and a shelter house at the state historic site.
