About This Trail
Visitors can see the waters of Round Spring from an overlook located at the base of a moss/fern covered limestone bluff. Explanation of geology and the prehistoric peoples who lived in the area are provided in interpretive exhibits. The spring is 55 feet deep and rises in a pool of water before flowing under a natural bridge. The amount of water flowing from the spring is 26 million gallons a day. There are wood ducks and great blue herons in the spring. The people are not allowed to swim or wade in it. Cave tours from April to October.
