Block House Point River View

Blockshole Point Park has two viewpoints looking down on the canal from near the 80 ft high point. The views are great no matter if there full foliage or not. The water on the river is good for seeing geese and the occasional cormorant. If you care about seeing a thing, binoculars are recommended. You may have to take a detour to reach the horse farm at dusk. The park is full of deer and you're likely to see more in the backyards. It is a great hike that family or friends enjoy on a hilltop. The trail map only tells you a place to go. On the map, there are orange lines that should show the path that other trails follow. The trail has some signs, not all of them marked. The trail is only for hikers, there are also trails for bicycles and horses within the park.
