About This Trail
The trail starts at the top of the Beartooth Pass and you can see the trail from there. The trail begins at a campground and goes around a lake. It crosses a stream where you have to rock hop across to get across. You'll probably want to bring an extra change of socks, especially with a pack on, because hiking poles help greatly. You head up into a meadow after the stream crosses. A waterfall can be seen on the other side of the rock cliffs on the way to Beauty Lake. After a while, you have to decide if you want to go to Beauty Lake or Becker Lake. You will descend a long ways to get to the lake shore once you are close to the lake. The views from the shore make it worth it. The most difficult part of the hike is going back up the trail.
