About This Trail
This is an old, less used, wonderful historic path from the Bear Mountain dock to the pool, museum, inn, and the AT. It was the main path used by boat travelers from NYC. When walking this historic route, imagination and wonder can fill one's mind. The AT staircase adds elevation gain to the top of Bear Mountain for hikers. Perkins Tower is a great lookout. There is free parking on this trail.
