About This Trail

The 89 acres of forest land surrounding Bauneg Beg Mountain are part of the Bauneg BegConservation Area. The land was acquired by the Great Works Regional Land Trust in 2000 and 2001. The trail goes through a forest, a pine grove and a section of boulders before reaching the highest of the three peaks. There is a choice of routes to the top just before the summit. The trail goes to the right. On a clear day, Mount Washington to the northwest and the Atlantic Ocean to the southeast can be seen from the rocky outcroppings.
