Baker Hollow Branch Trail

Baker Hollow Branch Trail is 3.2 miles one way, but is generally used as an Out and Back trail making it 6.4 miles total plus 0.2 give or take, to account for walking out to multiple points along the route. You will begin this trail from the Mizell Trailhead parking area easily found on Google Maps. Your hike will begin with a quick descend to a fork. To the right/more straight will take you to the Canal Branch trail, while the left side you will continue on to the Baker Hollow Branch Trail. Around 0.4 miles from the trailhead you will come out to a point with a breathtaking view of Tellico Lake with some large rock formations. Around 0.7/0.8 miles from the trailhead you will also reach some great viewing points with "beach" areas for dogs to swim and play especially in the warmer months. This hike is 90% along the shores of the lake offering spectacular views, with a very small portion away from it within the trees. Once you arrive to the back of the Baker Hollow Branch Trail sign listing 3.2 miles ahead, you have reached the end of this trail and the beginning of the Davis Ferry Branch trail. If you wish to continue on instead of going back where you came from, the Davis Ferry Brach Trail begins straight ahead to the left with another trailhead marker and parking area there as well. This is one of 9 connecting trails that make up the 30 miles of the East Lakeshore Trails. The trail is very well marked so it is easy to follow.
