About This Trail

Imported description
Delving into the isolated headwaters canyon of the American River's middle fork, this ambitious day hike through the Granite Chief Wilderness offers alpine scenery, lofty views of Lake Tahoe, and forest solitude. With a campsite at Whiskey Creek, it also makes a good overnighter. This is a point-to-point hike with a shuttle option.
