Willard Bay Reservoir is formed by Arthur V. Watkins Dam, which is a feature of the Weber Basin Project. Recreation management at Willard Bay is performed by the Utah Division of Parks and Recreation under agreement with the Bureau of Reclamation. The recreation area is located 10 miles north of Ogden, Utah of an elevation of about 4,220 feet. The reservoir has a surface area of approximately 9,200 acres when full.. This facility is managed year-round and experiences high use. Common fish species include catfish, walleye, and crappie. Reservations accepted for certain campsites. Fees are charged. Plain City, Plain City Southwest, Willard, and Whistler Canal U.S. Geological Service maps cover the area. WiFi is also available to park patrons. Reservations can be made by calling 800-322-3770 Toll free outside Salt Lake or (801) 322-3770 from within Salt Lake City.
