About
Imported descriptionWickahoney Creek has dense riparian vegetation and tight meanders. Redband trout are found in the creek and mule deer are common in the area. Sensitive species here also include bald eagles, yellow-billed cuckoos, prairie falcons, ferruginous hawks, neotropical migratory bird species, bats, Columbia spotted frogs and western toads. The cliffs also support spotted and Townsend's big-eared bats. Access to the area is difficult. This is not a boatable section of river. Wickahoney is a Shoshone Indian name meaning "beaver."
