About
Imported descriptionThe BLM Campbell Tract is a 730 acre Special Recreation Management Area located in the heart of Alaska’s largest urban area, and provides outdoor recreation opportunities in a non-motorized natural setting for nearly 500,000 visitors annually. The 12 mile trail system winds through the woods, providing year-round recreation opportunities on unpaved trails that link to the adjacent 4000 acre Far North Bicentennial Park trail network. Popular activities in summer include walking, running, mountain biking, orienteering, horseback riding, and wildlife viewing. Popular winter activities include snowshoeing, fat tire biking, skijoring, and cross country skiing. Dogs and domesticated animals are allowed but are required to be on a leash or electronic collar.
