About this unit
West Logan and east Morgan counties along the South Platte River. Short-grass prairie with cottonwood and willow riparian along the river corridor; the river bottoms hold significant whitetail and waterfowl habitat. Mostly private agricultural ground with State Wildlife Areas scattered along the river.
