About this unit
South Conejos County along the Cumbres Pass and the New Mexico border. Aspen and spruce-fir climb to alpine tundra above 12,000 feet on the Cumbres-Toltec narrow-gauge railroad corridor. Predominantly Rio Grande National Forest with the South San Juan Wilderness on the western flank.
