Unit 77 · Great Sand Dunes
About this unit
Northeast Alamosa and southeast Saguache counties wrapping Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve. Sage flats on the valley floor climb through aspen to alpine tundra above 13,000 feet on the Sangre de Cristo crest. Mix of Rio Grande National Forest and NPS Preserve ground; the National Park is closed to hunting but the Preserve allows it.
