About this unit
South Gunnison and north Saguache counties wrapping the Cochetopa Hills and Cochetopa Creek drainage. Sage parks and aspen step up through Douglas-fir to spruce-fir on the higher ridges. Predominantly GMUG and Rio Grande national forests with BLM in the lower country.
