Unit 59 · Sangre de Cristo North
About this unit
Central Fremont and east Custer counties wrapping the Wet Mountains and the northern Sangre de Cristos. Ponderosa and Douglas-fir on the lower slopes grade up through aspen to spruce-fir and alpine tundra on the high peaks. Predominantly San Isabel National Forest with the Sangre de Cristo Wilderness on the western boundary.
