Unit 48 · Twin Lakes
About this unit
Northwest Lake County around Twin Lakes and the Mount Elbert massif. Aspen and spruce-fir climb to alpine tundra above 11,500 feet on the Sawatch Range, with 14,440-foot Mount Elbert anchoring the western boundary. Predominantly San Isabel National Forest with the Mount Massive Wilderness on the north and Collegiate Peaks Wilderness on the south.
