About this unit
East-central Larimer County along the Big Thompson Canyon between Estes Park and Loveland. Ponderosa and Douglas-fir on the canyon walls grade into oakbrush and grassland on the lower foothills. Mix of Roosevelt National Forest, county open space, and significant private ground.
