It has long been a favorite gathering spot for family reunions. It's ideal for such events because of the campground's open area and easy parking. It has a vault toilet, 6 campsties, and 4 stalls for recreational stock. Please pack your garbage home because there is no water or garbage service. There are many local attractions, including hunting, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, sight-seeing, and a trailhead for the Desolation OHV trail system. Olive Lake is located about 13 miles to the east along Forest Road 10.
