About

Our campsite is located on the Turner Farm peninsula on North Haven Island, a one-hour ferry ride from Rockland, ME. You can also access the island by boat or charter -- connect with the CampKeeper for more information on moorings. You can drive up to the area with only a short walk to your site, or you can arrange for a lift from the ferry terminal with our CampKeeper. The site is situated in a quiet cove overlooking the water and surrounded by spruce and mosses. The farmers work in their vegetable beds on the other side of the farm, which you will pass on your walk towards our beautiful sweeping rocky beach on the bay. Bicycling, birdwatching, and sea kayaking are all popular activities on the island as well as just resting on the beach. Fresh lobsters and oysters are available during the Memorial Day to Labor Day season. Turner Farm is also known for its Barn Suppers during the summer and tickets are available on their website (turner-farm.com). The Space: Island campsite on the edge of a working farm with ocean views. Guest Access: Turner Farm is a small farm business on the island of North Haven Island. We are community of about 350 people year-round, 12 miles off the coast of Maine. As a business we care deeply about our community, growing good food and being good stewards to the land and the surrounding ecosystems. Our new tentrr site has allowed us to share our land with other enthusiastic folks that care about all these things while enjoying a sweet little camp spot to take it in from. The Neighborhood: Keep in mind that you are on a somewhat remote island: there is one grocery store with essentials and two seasonal eateries. Bring any pharmacy items you need and be sure to be at the ferry terminals 1/2 hour before you depart (current ferry times can be found online at the Maine DOT website). Other Things to Note: Keep in mind that you are on a somewhat remote island: there is one grocery store with essentials and two seasonal eateries. Bring any pharmacy items you need and be sure to be at the ferry terminals 1/2 hour before you depart. House Rules: ___ No parties or events ___ Check-in is anytime after 12:00 PM ___ Check-out is 11:00 AM While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee when each reservation is booked, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found! After a Camper leaves a site, they should take with them anything they brought in and leave no trace of their stay. If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper___s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Tentrr Camper Manual posted at your campsite (and linked in the pdf below), and you'll be set! Total Bedrooms: 1 Total Bathrooms: 1
