About

The Poor Farm RV Park is nestle in the bottom of Stoner Creek between two beautiful canyon walls and the San Juan National Forest. Our Family has lived on and loved this little slice of Heaven for six generations. We decided to share our home with a limited number of like minded campers and their families. Hopefully you will enjoy the open space, unlimited hiking, wildlife, natural beauty, and peace and quiet that makes this place special. After just opening, we offer about 8 secluded sites with no hookups. some of these sites have well water nearby. We have two sites closer to the main house with full hookups and Wi-Fi. We have no public restrooms or showers. So we are limiting campers to self contained RVs only. Water will be provided and a sewer dump is near by. Generators will be allowed during daylight hours only. Your cell phone will not work here. We have a landline at the main house for emergencies. Our address is 26299 Road 40, Dolores CO. We are half a mile up Road 40, and Stoner Creek from CO Highway 145. Road 40 is between mile marker 25 and 26 on the north side of the highway. At the little town of Stoner, CO. Follow the gravel road thru the Stoner RV Resort then past a few houses. Road 40 is a private access road for the land owners. Pleases respect our neighbors as you cross their properties. When you reach a bridge on your left that crosses Stoner Creek you have arrived. My name is Charley we live in the house on the other side of the bridge. My cell number is (970) 739 1022 works on the Wi-Fi. The land line is (970) 882 2379. For now the main house is the office. Please call ahead so we can find a site for you. Thank you for your interest. Charles Millard
