Pioneer Park Campground

Pioneer Park is a beautiful 185 acre recreational area nestled at the foot of the scenic Laurel Ridge Mountains. The large manicured grass-covered campsites are enhanced by fifty picturesque acres of spring fed lakes. Three of the lakes are stocked weekly with all species of trout and attract fishermen from all over southwestern Pennsylvania. No fishing license is required, although permits are necessary and can be purchased at the campground office. The fourth lake is used for paddle boats and children's fishing. Fishing is free for children in this lake. Other activities under the direction of a full time activities director, range from swimming in an olympic size pool, basketball and tennis courts, shuffleboard, miniature golf, horseshoes, volleyball, treasure hunts to paddleboat races. The area surrounding Pioneer Park is rich with the rural history of the past two hundred years. Other interesting nearby attractions include white-water rafting, Seven Springs Resort, Fort Ligonier, Idlewid Amusement Park and Soak Zone, Fallingwater (a Frank Lloyd Wright masterpiece), Laurel Caverns, fairs, festivals, and shopping outlets. Our office or activities staff can suggest outings, give directions, and answer any questions you may have.
